Greetings!!
Welcome to the first article directly from Viper Squadron. We started this Squadron because of our love and enjoyment of the game of X-Wing Miniatures by Fantasy Flight Games (FFG) about two years ago. We intend to bring you articles that will be about new products that are on the horizon to be released, stories about new point adjustments, and stories about games that we have played. We like to discuss various aspects of the game, opponents we face, building squad lists, and over- and under-powered pilots and upgrades.
Since the whole world is in battle against the Covid-19 virus, we all have been in a lockdown situation and advances in the game and upcoming waves of new ships are being pushed back till September, according to FFG. The next wave of ships that were due to be released at the end of April, had showcased new opportunities and some of us were excited on getting the new additions to the game.
The new ships that are now to be released in September were the HMP Droid Gunship for the Separatists, the LAAT/i Gunship for the Republic, and the Xi-class Light Shuttle for the First Order. We will have articles on each separate ship later on down the road.
Viper Squadron consists of some great people of all different skill levels. We have some that have been playing the game ever since it was released and some new players that have only a few months under their belt. Of course with any group, we have some jokesters (too many to name), some that study, in-depth, strategies for the game, and some cocky people (I admit I fall into that category at times). So, over time there can be articles written by some of them. We will be linking our YouTube channel, audio podcasts, and game play videos over time. We all hope you enjoy the content that we intend to bring to this community. We are always open to constructive criticism and encouraging comments. Please, if you comment, keep it tactful.
